McClelland already demonstrated it in the 1980s and has since been confirmed in many more studies. People's motivation is very decisive for their performance at work and says more about (future) functioning than intelligence or performance elsewhere.

Our instruments are fine-grained - no two profiles are the same - and do justice to the dynamics between the drives (internal) and those between people and the environment (external).

Graves' developmental theory

Our instruments are inspired by Clare Graves' theory of human and cultural development. Graves distinguishes between seven “coping systems” that people use to deal with their environment. Each system has its own world view and associated drivers.

Validation and Research

In our commitment to quality, we have carried out validation studies in collaboration with the University of Groningen, which have also been positively received by the independent COTAN committee.

TNO previously showed, in a major study in 2014, that our motives are good at predicting how people will or will not go along with new developments such as flexible and remote work.
