Validation studies and COTAN assessment
In the period 2016-2021, the University of Groningen validated the Profile Dynamics driver questionnaire in an extensive study involving a total of 1688 participants, and it was assessed by the COTAN.
COTAN verdict: reliable, consistent and stable
In 2025, the COTAN, the independent committee of the NIP (Netherlands Institute for Psychologists), ruled that this Profile Dynamics driver measurement is reliable, consistent and stable over time.
TNO and hybrid working
TNO came to the conclusion that Profile Dynamics drives can be used to predict whether people will embrace or reject an important change such as remote work.
And that is important for organizations that first invested a lot in hybrid working and are now considering letting their employees come back to the office.
With knowledge of the local driving culture, organizations can therefore make decisions that are better countries and are more effective.
The personal characteristics of the BIG-5, which was also included in the study, appeared to be hardly or hardly predictable in this area.
The study was conducted in 23 organizations (profit and non-profit) among 1,691 participants.

“A one-size-fits-all approach misses the mark”
